Chapter 56 A Most Familiar Surprising Guest
"Mush, Tammster, mush! I spy with my sexy wounded eyes a little something called the Opera, o' hooded one."
"Ehhh "
"Get off him, for Christ's sakes," Bella snapped quietly. "People are not only staring in fear."
Chimabell gave his brother a sour look followed by a childish whine, "My god, you are one jealous turkey! Surprised your eyes aren't glowing green already. Because, brother beloved, you do know that I could fetch you a Tammy of your own. All you have to do is ask your lord and master right here. Really, it's alright to speak up every once in a blue moon tha
Chapter 55: Unwelcome Guests at the Opera
"Oh no, Melloni, no. That is a very bad idea," Tin whimpered, biting the tips of his fingers with sweltering nervousness.
"Clock, we are stuck. We'll be diving from barrel to corner for hours till we find the kid. Our last aw man, I'm really saying this hope is you yourself and nobody to make one call. Surely you know a few people or somethin'," said Mellon almost apathetically, all his edginess expressed in his wingful points over to the tall glass phone booth settled near the central square fountain. "And dontcha wig out wheif ya get caught 'cause Z and I will give ya
Chapter 1: Freaks
They came out of nowhere, those crazy boys.
"Aaah!" Sophia let out a small squeal of surprise as two young boys one who looked to be in his acne-infested midteen years and the other on his way to puberty sprang up from behind a tombstone wearing deranged kabuki masks, wretched and crookedly done. The older one let out a wild series of laughs but the little one emitted no sound.
The teensy little brat known as Sophia fell backwards into the gray snow, almost hitting her head on a nearby tombstone that stuck from the ground like some ugly natural rock. She quickly glanced up at the tall boy as h
Chapter 2: Sophia and Darkslaw have a talk
The night fell upon Canzingsvale Wood in a heartbeat and Sophia found herself in a large, pink, princess-like dress. Why? Because of a baby shower that her grandparents were proud to sponsor; at their house too. As much as she didnt want to complain, all Sophia could do was whine about how she didnt want to attend even though the party was going to be downstairs in the large foyer.
Dont they have a house? Why does it have to be here? Its so dumb.
Please dont say that, Sophie. They are very good friends of ours and the gran
Chapter 3: "RUN, PIXIE!! RUN!!"
"You know what?! I'm going home! Straight home!"
"Have fun!" the weird boy replied without a tinge of annoyance.
Sophia hesitated and called up to him, "And I don't know the way!"
"Okay!"
"I might get eaten by lions and tigers and bears!"
"Oh my!"
"SCREW YOU!"
Already twenty minutes into the chilling journey and Sophia was on the verge of tears. It was dark, late, freezing, and frightening in the woods. God, she wanted to go home BAD; especially with the fog coming in. But what did Darkslaw do? NOTHING. He just hummed as he slinked off ahead of her, flashlight in hand. She could tell he wa
Chapter 4: Hunters
The pub was torn apart as if a war took place within its center; the windows were broken into bitty shards of glass, the tables were overturned and scratched up, and the floorboards were wet with vermillion. The only living creatures standing around were but about fifteen human beings, all clad in black and red costumes and holding strange, twisted up metal guns; silver glitter dripped down the metallic surface. A lady walked in, wearing the most detailed costume out of all the silent murderers and therefore making it obvious that she was their leader.
Her skin was a bright white and she had a thin but strong ap
Chapter 5: The City of Freaks and the Ax-Handed Boy
There are one or two troubles with dreams, ladies and gentlemen: dreams are beautiful but could become the downfall of some. Dreams tell the dreamer of fantasies that can corrupt ones imagination what with the absurdities that can swim through them yet at the same time could cure insanity. They told what was real, what was unreal, what was safe, what was dangerous warnings. The possibility of being blinded by the fantasy of a dream is grand but there is a humongous percentage doubting that as well; a win-lose subject, I should say. But, as some times happen, the logic of many co
Chapter 6: Craziness is not on the streets
Chimabell! For gods sake, answer me you little brat! screamed Campara, a foul-mouthed thirty-year-old woman with a long black dress and a vulture-like walk.
She forced open the metal door before her with a kick and glared down below at the gear-infested factory in the underground chamber. Sparks of ember glided across the smoky channel and she could see the many prisoners in white masks and chains pounding down on iron objects going down the industrial line.
Campara frustratingly flew down into the smoky, fiery unit and began scanning the entire occupied area unt
Chapter 7: No way out
Sophia woke up in a zany wooden room consisting of metal-plated dolls and scraps of tin all sliced open. She slowly rose up from under the covers and just stared into the space. For some strange reason, she felt more confused than frightened. Where was she just now? She remembered it was dark and there was a lot of cold water. It felt weird and she hated it.
How h-how are you feeling? said a pretty familiar voice. Sophia sighted all over the bedroom but didnt see a thing. Her confusion heightened and she instantly called out without hesitation, Where are you?
The voic
Chapter 8: Soft in the soul, soft in the heart, and soft in the head
The sun has never ever risen in Decembersville; at least it had until the von Pyre Bros. took over. Now the mornings were bleak and white and misty and perhaps the only thing the sky offered to the residents were night and rain. But even so, the von Pyre siblings still stood out in the morning each with a silver parasol providing them darkness. They feared the light more than anything much like the other Night Stalker citizens.
The cobblestone square was packed and each one of them looked up at the high balcony overlooking the area. Chimabell and his older sibl
